30 Days of Fun in #MasonCityIA

Visit Mason City is helping you start your summer right with 30 Days of Fun in honor of our 30th Anniversary!

No matter what your association to Mason City, you can join in on the fun at some of the most beloved sites and events in our community.

So, what will it consist of you ask? It is in the title isn’t it… Fun! Well yes, but every day beginning on May 19th you will be eligible to win prizes! Prizes consist of gift certificates, T-shirts, free tickets, packages and more!

Each day has a different theme and on those days you must post a selfie of yourself at the site or event on the designated day and hashtag #MasonCityIA.  Then you will post the selfie on Twitter, our Facebook wall, or Google Plus. For example, May 19th was ‘All Things Meredith Willson’. You could take a selfie at Music Man Square, Willson’s boyhood home, the footbridge, or even his gravesite (that would be a unique selfie).

For those of you who do not know what a selfie or hashtag is, follow the information here.

Now if you want to participate but don’t use social media or aren’t familiar with how to post a photo, don’t worry! Stop by our Visit Mason City office, located at 2021 4th Street SW, during regular business hours (Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm) and we will be more than happy to help post your photo for you.

We will draw a winner each day and you can pick up your prizes at our site.

I really can’t think of a better way to get involved in the community. There are so many places in Mason City that are unique to us, and we are helping you recognize that. Get involved, get active and enjoy Mason City.

The conclusion of the 30 Days of Fun will end with a celebration in Central Park, with us, Visit Mason City. Come help us celebrate our 30 years of making Mason City a place we all want to be. (P.S. there will cupcakes, perhaps 1,000 of them.)

Make sure you follow the calendar located on our website www.VisitMasonCityIowa.com/30-days-of-fun. You don’t want to miss the deals and prizes. Follow along with us on Facebook, Twitter, and Google+.
