Does all this cold weather have you wanting to partake in some winter fun? Mason City offers something for all types of winter enthusiasts. Whether you would like to be out in the cold or nice and warm inside, we have it all. Here are some activities you can do while you come visit Mason City this winter!

Sledding- Experience the thrill of rushing down a hill! The sledding hill in East Park is a great way to spend time with family and friends in the winter.

Public Ice Skate- Skate away! If you love to ice skate inside, rent skates at the North Iowa Events Center! However, if you are looking to spend time in the outdoor elements, ice skating at Ray Rourick Park would be for you.

Cross Country Ski- Explore nature on skis! Both East Park and Lime Creek Nature Center offer cross country skiing all winter long.

Hockey game- For those sports enthusiasts! Enjoy exciting hockey action with the North Iowa Bulls, members of the North American 3 Hockey League. Home games are played at the North Iowa Ice Arena, located at the North Iowa Events Center. Regular season play concludes in March.

Cabin Coffee- Cozy up in this cute cabin-like coffeehouse. Enjoy a cup of one of their freshly roasted coffees or enjoy lattes, espresso, teas, and more. We recommend trying one of their pastries as well.  Their cinnamon rolls are fantastic! They also serve breakfast sandwiches and lunch!

Snowmobile trails-Enjoy a ride through the snow! Venture out on some of North Iowa’s best trails. Take a ride down Highway 65 or a drive on Clear Lake.
